Stolpman Vineyards’ So Fresh! Garage Takes Over Mattei’s Tavern
Santa Ynez Valley is in for a buzzin’ treat as Stolpman Vineyards' So Fresh! Garage takes center stage at Mattei’s Tavern, bringing an evening dedicated to the art of fresh winemaking. Known for their minimalist, hands-off approach, Stolpman’s So Fresh! wines embrace whole-cluster, native fermentation, preserving the purity of the fruit while creating high-toned, vibrant flavors that are redefining California’s wine scene.
Rain or Shine! An Evening at Mattei’s Tavern
The historic Mattei’s Tavern, a cornerstone of Los Olivos’ wine country charm, will provide the perfect setting for this unique takeover. Expect a dynamic tasting experience, featuring two of Stolpman Vineyard’s most sought-after So Fresh! wines, Love You Bunches (Sangiovese) and their brand new unfiltered Sauvignon Blanc. If you love exploring the world of natural-style winemaking, this event is for you.
No Rules, Just Raw Unfiltered Goodness
Ever wondered what Sauvignon Blanc tastes like before it gets crystal clear? Stolpman’s gone all in—dedicating their entire own-rooted estate Sauvignon Blanc block to a bold, unfiltered cuvée. Lower yields mean deeper concentration, and their limestone-rich seabed soil gives their 2024 “Unfiltered” Sauvignon Blanc undeniable character.
Speaking of the seabed and ocean, did you know their head winemaker, Kyle Knapp, survived a Great White shark attack at Jalama Beach back in 2008? Yup—Ask Ruben and Savannah to show you the epic wine label. The 2024 vintage offers up a tropical adventure: fresh pineapple meets creamy coconut, like a next level Piña Colada—minus the rum, plus that signature Sauvignon Blanc zing. You’re gonna need a bigger glass!
Oh, and the 2023 Love You Bunches (Sangiovese) is as fresh and fun as ever! Bursting with peppery raspberry, juicy mulberry, and a hint of funk, it flows into a zesty rush of cranberry, red currant, and wild herbs—pure, easygoing deliciousness!
